Network Marketing Online - Why a Website is a Must?

When Network Marketing online you have two options - buy leads and run out of resources or build a successful website and generate a steady stream of high quality leads for free.

To anybody who has been involved with "Network Marketing" or "MLM", the business usually involves hunting down your friends and relatives, showing your business opportunity and pleading to them that you have got the best opportunity in this world and if they join now, they'll be financially free in next 5 years. Of course this doesn't end with your near and dear ones. Your sponsor will arrange a special "Memory Jogging" session wherein all those unfortunate ones who even had a brief contact with you in past, will start cursing their fate for coming in contact with you. Nobody likes to run a business this way, including me. There is a way however to be in Network Marketing without going through the above ordeal - Network Marketing Online.

The most critical and feared part in a Network Marketing business is generating leads and sorting out hot prospects. If you run out of leads, you run out of the business. Conducting your Network Marketing business online solves this major problem faced by majority of Network Marketers - generate leads and sort out hot prospects without making physical contact. There are two ways to generate leads online:

  1. Buy leads from leads companies.
  2. From your own website.

When buying leads from leads companies, majority of the companies sell you leads that are overworked - they have been sold to "n" number of people before reaching you. What happens when to try to contact such a list? Verbal abuse! If you want leads that have been sold exclusively to you, the price goes up correspondingly and as it's a numbers game (top recruiters buy thousands of leads every month), you need huge resources to buy regular supply of fresh leads. Unless your sponsor has a proven formula for breaking even or even profit from these leads, your chances of succeeding are bleak.

To really succeed with Network Marketing online, you must have a website related to your industry and having good traffic. For example, if you are into healthcare industry and have a website related to healthy living, the visitors to your website might be interested in your opportunity and generating quality leads is as easy as putting up a link to your company website. If they are interested, they'll fill up a form showing their interest. Else, they'll move on. This way, you'll have to deal with only warm prospects, which makes the business really fun.

So if your website gets 1000 visitors per day and say 5 percent, that is 50 people visit your companies' website. Out of these 50, 10 fill out the form and out of these 10 people, one may sign up. See, it's a numbers game. The above is just an example and things may or may not turn that way. You may get more sign ups or no sign ups and that entirely depends on the quality of visitors visiting your site and how you entice them to look at your business opportunity.

As you see, unless you have a successful website related to your industry, it's very difficult to run your network marketing business online. However, even if you don't have a website, you can create one and work on getting traffic to it. It's not easy but it's doable and it's definitely your ticket to succeeding online.
